Pioneer Square: Portland’s living room
The most-visited spot in all of Oregon happens to reside just a few blocks from the front door of our Pioneer Square hotel. Head over to Pioneer Courthouse Square, known as the city’s “living room,” for fantastic people-watching around the clock and lots of special events throughout the year. On Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer, catch the Noon Tunes free lunchtime concerts, or visit the Portland Farmers Market on Mondays from June to October. All year-round, right in Pioneer Square, Portland, you’re likely to find locals playing chess, grabbing a bite to eat from a food cart, or just taking a moment to soak in some sun before catching a bus or the light rail to journey to another part of the city. If you want to head somewhere yourself but aren’t sure where, the on-site Travel Portland Visitor Information Center can offer ideas. A stay at our Pioneer Square hotel puts you right in the heart of many of Portland’s sights and sounds.
